If safety is a concern, you can rely on Knotwood to keep your structure protected against fire damage. Wood is a highly combustible material, but Knotwood is completely non-combustible and meets current international fire standards.
Another perk to using this material is that it’s non-corrosive thanks to the high-quality marine-grade aluminum construction. Aluminum reacts with oxygen in the air to create a thin layer of oxide which acts as a “natural” corrosion protective barrier. It also self-repairs if it becomes damaged, which makes it a perfect choice to use in harsh environments.
A specially developed topcoat of exterior-grade paint is baked onto every piece of Knotwood. This coat helps the material fight off chipping, flaking, and blistering so the finish stays beautiful for years to come. With the sublimation process, the wood design permeates the powder coat for a hard-wearing wood-look product.
